This is the first post for my monthly beauty series. Each month, I’ll share X products that I’ve been using and loving. The products featured might be new products, or ones that I rediscovered in my medicine cabinet. So without further adieu, here are my May beauty favorites:
Acure Blue Tansy Serum Stick
You’ve probably heard me rave about Acure’s Blue Tansy Oil. I use 2-3 times a week at night; more if my skin is irritated. The serum stick is similar, but in a solid form! I keep it in my bag so that if my skin gets irritated during the day, I can quickly swipe the serum stick on.
Ilia Color Haze (lip & cheek cream)
I recently finished my Nars Orgasm Multiple Stick that I used as blush. It was the perfect time to find a new product with cleaner ingredients. Insert Ilia’s Color Haze. Ilia has a display at my local Sephora store. I swatched a few colors of Color Haze, which is a multipurpose cream for lips, cheeks, and even eyelids. I went with “Temptation,” which is a coral pink. To use it, I put a drop (smaller than a pea) on my finger and lightly tap onto both cheeks (1 drop covers both cheeks).
Vegamour Lash and Brow Serums
Vegamour kindly gifted me their lash and brow serums, which help stimulate hair growth. These products couldn’t have come at a better time! Why? Well, I was on a medication a while back; one of the side effects was hair loss. My lashes and brows thinned out.
My hairs are now growing back faster than ever, thanks to these serums. I’ve been using them for about 3 weeks and I can already see some results. Oh, and I stopped the medicine. 🙂
Isle of Paradise Tanning Drops
I’ve never had a good experience with self-tanners. In fact, my experiences are terrible. I usually end up with stripes, orange ankles, or an unfortunate handprint on my boob or butt. Nevertheless, I saw these tanning drops all over Instagram (#instagrammademedoit), so I grabbed them during the recent Sephora sale. And…I’m SHOCKED at how well they work. You just mix a few drops in your favorite moisturizer and rub into your skin. It’s really easy. I’ve used them like 10 times for my arms and legs. No stripes, orange ankles, or misplaced handprints!
Ren Evercalm Day Cream
You may have heard me bitching about Flo earlier in the month. She came with a vengeance. And she brought friends too. Flo and her stupid posse wrecked havoc on my skin. It was dry, irritated, and started to break out. My face was inflamed (and so was I, tbh. I was PISSED).
Anyways, I got the Ren Evercalm Global Protection Day Cream (jeeeeez that’s a mouthful) based off of discussions with a Sephora employee. This moisturizer is crazy. My skin appeared less red within hours. It has a matte finish, which made my skin look more even-toned. I need to use it more to understand the full benefits.
